Celebrating the 2nd Quarter Employee Recognition Brunch

On April 30, 2026, the Customer Service Advisory Council (CSAC) Employee Recognition Brunch, hosted by Chief Customer Experience Officer Tawana Allen, brought our airport community together for a morning that felt less like a formal event and more like a heartfelt reunion. This quarter, almost 700 recognition submissions from 49 employers highlighted just how many dedicated people across MCO go above and beyond each day.
As the brunch guests entered the ballroom, they were greeted by the warm sound of a live guitarist, a buffet-style breakfast, along with a relaxed atmosphere that set the tone for the morning’s event. Chief of External Affairs Officer, Kenyatta Lee, opened the event with heartfelt remarks and gave valuable updates about our airport.
The program kicked off with a CSAC trivia game, where employees from the audience jumped in to guess fun MCO Airport facts and win prizes. There was even a lively dance-off, updates on what’s happening around MCO, and a group photo on stage for everyone who received recognition.
The morning’s most anticipated moments was the presentation of special awards in Safety, Comfort, Ease, Speed, and Culture. Each story highlighted someone who made a meaningful difference for a guest or fellow employee. As honorees took the stage, the crowd’s support was unmistakable. When they returned to their seats, the room erupted in applause! What an honest reflection of the strong community spirit that makes MCO special.
Events like this are possible because of the everyday collaboration among airlines, concessions, security teams, janitorial staff, rental car partners, and many others. Their commitment keeps our airport running smoothly, and it makes MCO a place we are proud to represent.
We’re already looking forward to the next brunch, where we can honor even more of the incredible people who make our airport community shine. If you spot a colleague going the extra mile for a guest, you’re encouraged to share their story on the MCOcares.com web page so they can be recognized at future events.
