Thanks to the generosity of MCO employees, this year’s blood drives were a tremendous success, resulting in 61 lifesaving donations.

Each donation can help save up to three adult lives or as many as eight babies in need. Based on this year’s 61 donations, there is the potential to help as many as 183 people, demonstrating the impact of our airport community.

Blood donations are essential for:

• Trauma and accident victims
• Cancer patients
• Individuals living with sickle cell disease and other blood disorders
• Premature infants
• Patients undergoing surgery or organ transplants

Through GOAA’s ongoing partnership with One Blood, we help ensure that hospitals across Central Florida have access to the lifesaving blood products needed every day. Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped make a meaningful difference in our community. Your generosity is helping save lives.

There are still opportunities to donate this year. Mark your calendars for our upcoming blood drives on September 3, 2026, and December 3, 2026, which will be our final blood drives of the year. If you are eligible, we encourage you to participate and help meet the ongoing need for blood donations throughout our community.
