In Orange County, including on airport property, you can now send a text message to 911 during an EMERGENCY or life-threatening situation. A voice call to 911 is the best and fastest way for the 911 call taker to retrieve and deliver life-saving information. But if you can’t call, please text.
If you must text, please do the following:
· Keep message brief
· Text your location, the nature of the emergency, and your name
· Avoid slang and abbreviations
· Do not sent photos or videos
Texting is not available in all areas. Check availability in other counties.
