In a heartening display of determination and community service, Detective Michael Fields of the City of Orlando Police Department, successfully reunited a lost tablet with its rightful owners, bringing relief and joy to the concerned family.
Last week, Detective Fields received a report of a missing electronic device from our Lost and Found department, and he made several attempts to track down the device.
His dedication paid off after he was able to locate the tablet in a rideshare vehicle here in Orlando. He then was able to recover the device and he drove it across the state to give it back to its owners.
The family who lost the device said it belonged to their child and said they were happy to have it recovered in time for their vacation. Detective Fields perseverance shows that no problem is too small when it comes to making a difference in our airport community.
